Mariachi Los Galleros de Pedro Rey was formed in Los Angeles, Ca in 1968 by Don Esteban Hernandez, Father of Pedro Rey. in 1970,upon his return from a 2 year stint with the World's Greatest Mariachi, Vargas De Tecalitlan, Pedro took over the Galleros and never looked back.

For the first 10 years, Los Galleros was a 10 piece band which was 80% Family members. Pedro's Brothers and Father were in the original group. ​
Los Galleros quickly established itself as the "Go to" Mariachi for Touring singers of the Ranchera Genre. Los Galleros was one of 3 groups featured on Linda Ronstadts Grammy winning "Canciones De Mi Padre", Pedro was also featured in 3 duets with Miss Ronstadt.

Mariachi Los Galleros De Pedro Rey has appeared on Television and Radio Shows and performed on the world's most prestigious venues, Such as The Hollywood Bowl , Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles Memorial Coluseum, The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson, Los Galleros have been fortunate to have recorded with artists such as Ringo Starr and have accompanied Placido Domingo, Vicente Fernandez and many many others.

Currently, Pedro's son, "El Torito" is leading Los Galleros into their 5th decade. Tradition is the backbone of Los Galleros and this 6th generation Mariachi Musician is passionate about the Craft of Mariachi.

El Torito continues in his Grandfathers and his Fathers steps and in a few years will have the next generation of the family, Robert Zepeda Hernandez in Los Galleros and will keep making the world a happier and better place with the best music in the world: MARIACHI
